CDA Book Errata

This page was inspired by one anonymous commenter on Ask me a Question.  He or she points out a typo in The CDA™ Book.

Chapter 6: Page 56
The reference to [DT§2.4.5] should be to [DT§2.5.5], and the duplicated paragraph with a different reference [DT§2.5.7] appearing later should be removed.
Page 57

The <reference> elements are not closed (missing a terminal />) in figure 6.8, 6.9 and 6.10.

Chapter 10: Page 102
The third code value in Table 10.3 should be ACD, not ACT as shown.

Chapter 14: Page 139

In figure 14.5, change typeCode='REPL' to typeCode='RPLC'.

Chapter 18: Page 261
The third sentence of the first paragraph reports that the CDAPI from Mirth is open source.  As of this time, it is not part of the Mirth Open Source software.  It is apparently available through their early adopters program as reported here.

The relatedDocument typeCode value should be 'RPLC' and not 'REPL'.

The element 'encounterParticipant' should be under the 'encompassingEncounter' element where it is shown incorrectly in the book as within 'healthCareFacility' element.

  4. Chapter 17:Page 254 Fig. 17.23:
There is no element id and code available within entryRelationship.
The observation should be inside of entryRelationship.
Also, I have a doubt of using moodCode='RQO' as parent result should have been completed prior current observation requested.

    1. Hi Keith, is moving entryRelationship out of the observation the correct way to fix it? Should we use EVN instead of RQO of the moodCode?

observationRange is not a valid element within reference.
It should be a choice of externalAct, externalObservation, externalProcedure, or externalDocument

The _TS suffix is missing from the rendering of the EIVL_TS data types.
