HIE Leaders Roundtable
A Live Webcast Event June 28, 2011, 1:30-3:00pm ET
On Tuesday, June 28, 2011 National eHealth Collaborative will convene a group of Health Information Exchange (HIE) leaders representing a diverse cross-section of operational HIEs that demonstrate innovative strategies and business models for achieving sustainability and providing value in their communities. These HIE leaders will be brought together for a roundtable discussion that will focus on critical success factors for establishing an HIE, as well as an exploration of the challenges and obstacles to achieving sustainability and building community support. This roundtable will serve as a preview for a soon-to-be released report, which NeHC recently commissioned in order to provide in-depth studies of successful and relatively mature HIEs across a number of spectrums. The report is intended to capture the key dimensions of success for HIE sustainability, contribute to the development of a national roadmap for health information exchange, and to provide insight and guidance for emerging HIEs.
